Tangier
Tangier, a city in Morocco’s northwest on the coasts of both the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Ocean.


Chefchaouen   
The “Blue City” - in northwestern Morocco as well  - Chefchaouen is the chief town of the province of the same name and is noted for its buildings in shades of blue, bringing the nickname "Blue City".

Fez
Fez, an Imperial Kingdom City, inland in the north, Fez (or Fes) is capital of the Fès-Meknès administrative region and the second largest city in the country. Located northwest of the majestic 13,750’ Atlas Mountains, Fez and Meknes are surrounded by hills and the old city borders the Fez River.

Rabat
Rabat, Morocco’s Capital and an Imperial Kingdom City, was founded in the 12th Century.  An Imperial city and capital of Morocco, Rabat is home to the Royal Palace of Rabat, the official residence of the King of Morocco. The ancient medina of Rabat is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

 

Casablanca
Casablanca, home of the majestic, monolithic Hassan II Mosque, the world’s second largest Islam place of worship, Casablanca is the largest city in Morocco, its major airport and the country’s economic and business center located on the Atlantic coast of the country.

Day 1:  Arrival in Tangier | Hotel Barcelo Tangier | D      

 

  • Welcome to Tangier! Begin your Moroccan adventures in the vibrant port city of Tangier where Europe and Africa meet. The city and its unique blend of cultures serves as an enchanting gateway to Africa.

  • Following a warm welcome by your personal guide and driver they'll gladly be yours to learn from and transport you privately in air-conditioned MBZ Van comfort throughout your journey. You'll then transfer to your comfortable hotel.  After resting up, enjoy a typically sumptuous Moroccan dinner.  Morocco's cuisine features traditional dishes offering a rich tapestry of flavors that reflect the country’s culinary heritage.  Moroccan cuisine certainly enhances its citizens' national pride.

Day 2: Tangier | Hotel Barcelo Tangier | B L D   

  • Explore this "Gateway City between Europe and Africa". The tour begins in the Old Medina, historic heart of the city. Wander with your guide through the narrow streets, bustling souks and vibrant markets, absorbing the lively atmosphere.

  • Visit Cape Spartel, a stunning natural site offering panoramic views of the Strait of Gibraltar, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea. Continue on to discover the Caves of Hercules, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. According to legend, these caves were once the resting place of Hercules. The cave's entrance, shaped like the African continent, is a natural wonder.

  • Enjoy a lavish dinner at the El Minzah Hotel accompanied by traditional Moroccan entertainment at this renowned venue. Relax in your comfortable accommodations after a day of exploration.

 

Day 3: Chefchaouen – Fez | Palais Faraj Luxury Hotel | B L D   

    

  • Travel to Chefchaouen (2:15 drive time), a picturesque town nestled in the Rif Mountains. Known for its distinctive blue-washed buildings, Chefchaouen, Morocco's "Blue City" is the "paradise" for photographers and a tranquil retreat. Wander through narrow cobblestone streets admiring the vibrant blue buildings that create a serene and enchanting atmosphere. Visit famous Chefchaouen Kasbah, a historic citadel and the town's main attraction. Then visit the Spanish Mosque offering panoramic views of the city.

  • Continue your journey to Fez (3:30 drive time), undoubtedly one of if not the most culturally and historically rich cities of Morocco.

  • Check in and unwind in your luxurious Fez hotel.

 

Day 4: Fez | Palais Faraj Luxury Hotel |  B L D

  • Explore the city's intricate mosques and madrasas, renowned for stunning architecture and decorative artistry. Fez boasts Morocco’s first Jewish District established in 1438.  Visit the vibrant tannery where traditional leather production methods are still in practice. 

  • Discover the historical and cultural treasures of Fez guided along on an exclusive comprehensive private tour of this Imperial City and its stunning architecture. Fez boasts the world’s largest Medina and car-free zone, a labyrinth of narrow streets and souks - the hub of the city’s culture and spirituality.

  • Fez Highlights

    • Jardin Jnan Sbil: gardens built in the 19th century originally reserved exclusively for the royal elites. Though only gardens, they connect to the Royal Palace by underground passages

    • Al-Attarine Madrasa: Built in 1323-25 and one of the great achievements of Marinid architecture due to its harmonious, rich decoration and efficient use of limited space.

    • Chouara Tannery:  Huge tannery, one of the world's oldest.

    • Fez el-Bali: Oldest walled part of Fez - a great neighborhood.

    • Museo Nejjarine:  Specialty museum of wooden arts & crafts.

    • Bab Boujloud: Ornate carved city gates

 

  • Conclude your day by relaxing in the fresh open spaces of your luxury Riyad and experience the captivating sounds of the evening call to prayer.

Day 5:  Fez – Volubilis - Rabat | Hotel Barcelo Rabat | B L D      

  • Today we'll embark on a memorable historical tour of the ancient 2000-year old Roman ruins of Volubilis, Morocco’s best-preserved archaeological site and since 1997 a UNESCO World Heritage site. (1:30 drive time). Only half of Volubilis’s Roman ruins are excavated.  Its many beautiful mosaics, the city’s most striking features, are preserved in situ allowing viewers to marvel at early artistry amid learning of this once-prosperous Roman city.  

  • Next, continue your journey to Rabat (2:30 drive time), the capital city of Morocco.  Settle into your comfortable hotel in Rabat.

 

Day 6:  Rabat  -  Hotel Barcelo Rabat | B L D

  • This morning, enjoy a half day with your guide to discover the highlights of Rabat, including the Royal Palace, Hassan Tower, and Oudayas Kasbah, followed by lunch. The Royal Palace, a stunning example of Islamic architecture, is the official residence of the King of Morocco. Hassan Tower is an iconic minaret of an incomplete mosque, and the Oudayas Kasbah is a historic fortress ("kasbah" is fortress or citadel), offering views over the Atlantic.

  • Enjoy the amazing exhibits at the city's renown Photography Museum on the waterfront

  • Enjoy shopping and regroup for dinner and evening of exploring Rabat at your own pace or with your guide.

 

Day 7: Rabat - Casablanca | Hotel Barcelo Anfa | B L D

  • This morning after breakfast transfer (1:05 drive) to Casablanca, Morocco’s contemporary, cosmopolitan city and business center featuring the monolithic and majestic Hassan II Mosque, renowned in the Muslim world as Islam’s second-largest house of worship. This architectural marvel, with its intricate details and stunning oceanfront location, offers interesting insight into Morocco’s spiritual heritage. 

  • After a delicious Moroccan lunch at Tavola Herzl Restaurant and a guided visit to one of the country's beautiful synagogues of interest, enjoy a drink at "touristy" Rick’s Café of Humphrey Bogart's "Casablanca" fame, the Royal Palace of Casablanca, a stroll around the Old Medina and a stop at United Nations Square. Continue to visit Mohammed V Square, heart of the city known for impressive architecture and a vibrant atmosphere. Explore the Courthouse, Esplanade and the residential district of Anfa.

  • Following a farewell dinner at one of our favorite Casablanca dining establishments, or perhaps being hosted at the private home of a friend of ours, enjoy a leisurely stroll with your guide, or, head back to the hotel and settle in for a final relaxing evening.

 

Day 8: Casablanca - Airport | B

 

  • After breakfast your private guide and driver will escort you to Casablanca Airport for departure. Bid fond farewell as you return home, hopefully cherishing what we hope will be a series of lifetime happy memories of your Morocco travels with us!
